 "The Independent Umpire" - The Superintendent Role

Dani Buffier-Jell

Dani Buffier-Jell has worked in the Construction Industry for 15 years and worked for Arup for nearly 9 years.

During this time Dani has worked on some of the largest Infrastructure projects in QLD which including Airport Link, TNRP and the Gympie Bypass. She has Project Managed a large housing development for over 300 properties in remote Indigenous communities. She has also delivered Health facilities, New Schools and PCYC facilities.


Roles which Dani has fulfilled include Project Manager, Superintendent, Commercial Manager, Scheduler, Design Manager and Project Controller. She is heavily involved in the National Association of Women in the Construction Industry a group who promote Women in the Industry.


When Dani is not 100% busy with Project Management work she sits on Diversity Committees, Leadership Groups and volunteers Scheduling and PM skill for Street SWAGS.

    The Australian National Association of Women in Construction, Mission is:

    ·          To raise the profile of women working in the construction industry.

    From its beginning in 1995, NAWIC have strived to build a dynamic organisation which encourages and supports women in the construction and related affiliate industries. Their members have risen steadily over the years due to enhanced networking opportunities and the continuing development of member services and benefits.





    The Society of Construction Law (Australia) is a single national organisation of members drawn from all professions involved with construction, industry representatives and the legal profession who share an interest in construction law.


    The Society will encourage the widest possible involvement of all its membership and encourage discourse across the broad spectrum of issues which comprise the subject of construction law. It will be as concerned with "front end" issues and avoiding disputes, as well as all forms of dispute resolution.
